Below is our list of Social Ministry events for the remainder of 2020. We are doing our very best to keep many of our traditions going through these trying times. We are practicing social distancing and wearing our PPE. If you need a bit of joy in your heart , please join us for our holiday events. We would be thrilled to see you  

Fall Food Collection **Drop them off during Sunday worship or let us know if you need donations to be picked up**  

1st  - Vegetable oil and/or Potato flakes
8th – Flour and/or Biscuit mix
15th – 2 cans of Tuna and/or Spam
22nd – Breakfast cereal, hot or cold
29th – Canned vegetables    

Thanksgiving Soldiers Angels – Stockings for Soldiers -We will be filling 10 stockings for soldiers as a giving project for Thanksgiving -Due date for donations in November 22nd  

Allowable items include:

Slim Jims or Beef Jerky
Packages of Holiday nuts
Single serving drink mix packets (i.e. Crystal Light)
Playing cards
Puzzle book (Crosswords, Sudoku, Word Find)
Holiday-themed writing pens or pencil
Holiday candy (in sealed wrapping or small unopened bags)
Candy Canes
Peanut Brittle
Socks
Travel-sized games Card games (Uno, Phase 10)
Stress balls (holiday-themed preferred)
Gloves (preferably black; winter; one size fits all)
Single serving cookie packages
Apple cider packets (must be in Ziploc baggies in case the packets break)
Hot chocolate (must be in Ziploc baggies in case the packets breaks)
Small notepads Holiday-themed lip balm (wrapping and scent)
Caps (warm winter)
Other holiday-themed items
Monetary donations to cover the cost of shipping
**If needed, we can shop for you or pick up your donations**

We will have a stocking packing on November 22nd after worship service, so please join us (with your mask!)   

**On the 22nd, you are welcome to take home a few face masks to paint for the workers to wear during the decorating of the church**    

ADVENT  On the afternoon of November 22nd, we will be gathering (with our masks!) and decorating the church for Christmas. We hope to have Rick play some festive music for us, and we welcome anyone to help out. We are also considering carrying this event on Facebook Live for folks to watch if they cannot attend. Let Kim know if you can attend.    

CHRISTMAS We would like to participate in the “Adopt a Family” Program again this year, but we are in need of a team leader. Please let Kim know if you are interested. Without a leader,  it will not be possible to take on this project.
