Just that word brings up a multitude of emotions for many. For me, it brings up overwhelming adoration for a guy who means so much. It also brings up immense sadness. It is devastating to watch him fight day in and day out.
My Dad is a proud man. After our house fire a few years ago; he was resilient but struggled to ask for help. So many of our friends and family stepped up and supported us through a difficult time. It’s time again. My Dad is dying without a new kidney. I am making the big ask. I am desperately pleading to our family and friends to help us on our search to find my Dad a living kidney donor.
He is part of Penn Medicine’s Program. I am always happy to speak to you about my experience going through the living donor process or any other questions you may have.
Please share and let’s find him a kidney!
