St. John’s was so happy to welcome Tanner McGrenaghan into our church family Sunday through baptism. A packed house with tons of kids watched as Tanner was baptized and they also enjoyed meeting Miss Kitty and Pastor Wende during her children’s sermon. Beautiful family!
St. John’s welcomed Baby Robert today. Sarah and Brandon are the proud parents of Robert who was born just a few weeks ago. We are so blessed to have Robert and his parents worship with us Sunday mornings. May God bless Robert as he grows.
Prior to the worship service, St. John's members opened our church doors and sang for the community. After worship, St. John’s members went to the Delcroft Shopping Center from Noon to 3pm collecting food and monetary donations for the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Food Bank in Sharon Hill.
No rain could stop today’s Egg Hunt at St. John’s. Lots of smiles and excitement finding so many eggs around the sanctuary and opening them to find all of the treats. Special thanks to the St. John’s families who brought their 3rd generation kids to share in the fun.
We visited longtime St. John’s Folcroft member Connie today to share songs, treats and communion. Connie was a fixture in the choir loft at church for as long as we all can remember. It was so special to spend time catching up and wishing Connie an early happy birthday. We love and miss you, Connie. Happy birthday!
It was truly as blessing today to visit Hazel. Hazel, along with her whole family, was a fixture at St. John’s Folcroft for decades. A true servant of God who shared her musical talents as well as her skills as a longtime Sunday School teacher. We were so happy to visit Hazel today to sing some favorite hymns, celebrate her birthday a bit early and share communion with her. Hazel is a special woman who will always be in our hearts. Happy birthday, Hazel! We love and miss you.
Super Bowl Day for St. John’s was Souper Bowl Day! What a bountiful donation of soup for our neighbors in need. And we are ready to cheer on the Eagles…Fly Eagles Fly
Thanks to all who joined us for Christmas Eve service at St. John’s whether in person or online. We hope you all have a blessed Christmas.
Psalm 26:7 “ I raise my voice in praise and tell of all the miracle you have done.”
Shoutout to all who donated items for Holiday Stockings for Heroes and those who stuffed them full. 10 stockings were filled with items like socks, gloves, hot chocolate packs, stress balls and more. There were also personal Christmas cards written thanking the heroes for their service. Another gratifying project brought to St. John’s by Kim McCombs. The stockings will be shipped this week either overseas or here at home to heroes who are serving or who may be injured.
What a wonderful day for our Halloween Candy Scramble today. So happy so many kids came out to join in the fun.
We had a wonderful time visiting and celebrating with our friend from St. John’s, Connie Captis. Connie is celebrating a birthday this week and she loves singing so we brought the music to her.
Welcome Evie Marie, baptized into the family of God. Parents Erin and Sean along with family, friends and members of St. John's celebrated with joy and thanksgiving.
